Pattern Testing – The Everyday Tote

Last week I was able to reveal my first sewing project of the year, you guessed it – a bag!  My lovely friend Emma from For my Little Monster has turned her hand to pattern writing and I was lucky enough to be one of the testers for this amazingly roomy bag – The Everyday Tote.

I made it using the pink What a Gem Arrows by Allison Cole and I love how it works with my denim on the wrong side.  It has 4 pockets in total and is super roomy.

So how do you get your hands on this pattern you ask?
You can purchase the pattern from here and here.
And
You can win a copy.
All you need to do is leave a comment telling me what you’d find in your bag.  The most creative answer will win a digital copy of this pattern.   I will choose a winner on Friday 13th February at 7pm (AEST).

Time Flies when you’re having fun.

Hi, just checking in.  Things have got away from me of late and I just haven’t had the chance to write about whats been happening….

I’ve been busy getting our new clutches up and running and they are proving very popular especially with spring carnival approaching.  They come in 2 sizes – “Fleurette”, our 150mm clutch purse which will fit phone, keys, cash & lippy and “Fleur”, our 200mm clutch bag which is that little bit longer to fit your sunnies in too.

Our Christmas stockings have also been popular again this year.  I love Christmas so really enjoy playing with these lovely fabrics.  Here’s a couple I sent out last week.  Get your orders in quickly though as I will not be taking orders after 15th November.

We have also added these to our hand-made.com.au shop just in time for the festive season.

Well thats it for now.  I’m off on a sewing retreat this weekend and looking forward to meeting some of the Sewing Sisterhood girls in real life.

Have a great week

The Reversible Bag

Its a new bag to the range and I can’t wait to make it in all different fabrics.  I love that you can have one side bright and bold and flip it inside out for something a little lower key.  One bag to go with many outfits!

This bag is based on one of Novita’s tutorials with a few tweaks of my own.  She has some amazing projects over on her blog.

Well its back to the sewing machine for me. Happy Sunday everyone,
